Congrats to the Lady Howlers, who won the Northern Maine Championship tonight 3-2 over Southern Aroostook! With the win, the team will play in their second straight State Softball Championship, and it's the 3rd straight PV girls State Championship appearance this school year! The game will be Saturday June 21 at 12:30 pm, practically in our backyard at UMaine in Orono! Grab your Howler or Green gear and come out to support these amazing players and coaches!

The Lady Howlers advance to the 2025 Class D Northern Maine Finals! In Howland on Saturday, Lauren Veino went 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBI to help propel PVHS to the 4-2 victory over the previously undefeated Katahdin Cougars. On the pitching rubber, Veino also struck out six batters and walked none! Shay Ireland also had two hits, while Ellie Austin reached base three times. The team played excellent defense, committing no errors in the game.
Penobscot Valley will play Southern Aroostook for the Northern Maine Championship at the University of Maine in Orono on Tuesday 6/17 at 7:00 pm. This continues an unprecedented streak of success at PVHS, as this will be the NINTH straight championship game combined that our girls teams (soccer, basketball, and softball) are playing in...A full three year span!

A reminder for anyone who may be playing a Fall Sport for PVHS or HMS to turn your completed GREEN HEALTH FORMS into your school's office THIS WEEK! With seasons starting 8/18 (PV) and 8/25 (HMS), it is extremely difficult to try and track these down in the summer. Thanks for your help! Mr. Durost

FALL SPORTS INFORMATION: A reminder anyone going into grades 6-12 that is interested in Soccer for the 2025/26 school year (or grades 5-12 for golf), Mrs. Batchelder at the HMS office will need a completed 25/26 "Green Health Packet" turned in, and a Physical Form (they're good for two years). I would strongly encourage getting this taken care of before school lets out for the summer, as it's hard to coordinate drop off times during summer hours. PV (High School) Soccer and Golf are scheduled to start on Monday August 18, and HMS (middle school) will begin on Monday August 25. Any questions contact Mr. Durost at jeremy.durost@sau31.org. Thanks! Mr. Durost
